Does anyone know of a source for a lead wire substitute? Better yet, what *product* do people use these days? I'll buy from byard if he has it... after all, I'm getting the list together :) Is solder (sp?) safe and heavy enough? I want this item to be able to be wrapped on nymph hooks to get them down faster than my .026" copper wire. Byard has let me "test sample" a cool product called Toobies which I think is great. Denser than lead, 100% environmently friendly, reusable and magnetic! They work well and get your fly down fast. He also offers Dinsmore's and some other great weighty stuff at: http://linesend.com/product/on_stream.shtml#misc. Take your pick!
