Why couldn't you use a deep striping basket, strapped to your waist??  The
basket would move with you when quick cast in odd directions are required.
Which happens frequently when poling the flats.  It seems to me this would
almost get in the way when changing the direction of the cast to odd angles.
That said, I don't fish the salt that much. Just curious.
