Joyce, i was at 214 lbs. when the Doc. said loose 30 lbs. I got down as far as 181, and today in the morning was 185 and earlier this eve. was 186. I'm doin' pretty good with that. My goal is to get to 175 and KEEP it there. VERY difficult........but i'll make it. The medicine i'm taking is Norvasc for the BP and Glipizide for the Diabetes. ????? mark

Fosinopril is an ACE (angiotenson channel blocker) and seems to work well without so much tiredness. Usually, a doctor does use a combination, as that way he can get better control without such a big dose of any single medicine. Most importantly...stay on the drugs.. Some people think that once they feel better, and the blood pressure comes down, that they can quit..only to have a very nasty rebound. take care. JOyce
