The Tarpon is my choice for fishing. It's on my list. We have four kayaks
right now the one we use for fishing is a perception with a wider profile
and flat bottom. It still has a rudder to help out.
Be sure to get a wider profile not a touring kayak or you will be doing a
"Don & Jerry" with all your gear. ;0)

Subject: Re: [VFB] Kayak question

Hey Del,

The Prowlers (13 & 15) are nice boats. Really popular down here in
Florida as are the tarpon series by Wilderness Systems that Jack
mentioned. Definitely try them out if you get the chance. I fish from
an OK Drifter, my wife from a perception swing. Kayak fishing is great
and no major hurdle for the flyrodder. I started fly fishing from my
kayak so I just got used to it.
