The Tarpon is my choice for fishing. It's on my list. We have four kayaks right now the one we use for fishing is a perception with a wider profile and flat bottom. It still has a rudder to help out. Be sure to get a wider profile not a touring kayak or you will be doing a "Don & Jerry" with all your gear. ;0) Deb

Really popular down here in Florida as are the tarpon series by Wilderness Systems that Jack mentioned. Definitely try them out if you get the chance. I fish from an OK Drifter, my wife from a perception swing. Kayak fishing is great and no major hurdle for the flyrodder. I started fly fishing from my kayak so I just got used to it.
