Can anyone give me some basics on the size tippet needed for small flies? What I mean is like, a 4 X will go threw a XXX size hook eye, but not a XXX size hook eye. I am looking at some flies down to 20 or 22 for this San Juan trip, (been a long time since I tied one that small on), and need to check to see if I have the right size tippets on hand or if I need to find some prior.
