I have a very creative friend that has inspired many of my saltwater
patterns on Hans site.  He made me a vise that is a streamside travel vise.
I treasure it because it’s special.  I don’t think you’ll see them on the
market anymore.  This is a link to the vise.

I’m not at all familiar with the Danvise.  That being said …  honestly I
don’t tie streamside.  I carry plenty of flies and if none of them are
working I go back to camp and drink and toast smores.    ;0)
It’s usually too windy for me to bother trying to tie another fly.  I will
clip flies to get them smaller streamside but that’s as far as I will go.  I
want to fish when I’m on the water not tie flies.   I have tied in camp at
night but I just bring along my Dyna King or Renzetti.    I got spoiled with
Peggy bringing her RV to Roscoe.  We got to sit inside comfortably at a nice
table and tie flies at night while listening to the Beaverkill as it flowed
by.
I fish mostly saltwater so I need to have a good vise to hold the hooks …  I
won’t mess with a small travel vise.

You tie more creative flies than production flies so I'm not sure it would
be the vise for you either.
I don't think it would even be the best choice for the small wet flies you
like to tie.
 Deb,
Both very good and valid points. My second option is to set up a
traveling system for when I go streamside. I am thinking about the Danvice
for this.... What ya think??
