Feel free to send me the photos. The 40????? I have is so small it is
hard to tell the details. It is smaller than the Mustad 32.

Do you know if a sz 40 hook was ever made.
When I left N.J. I was given a number of gifts from my tying buddies.
One was a framed size 40 hook that I am told is for real. You need a
magnifying glass to see it in the frame. I have been in a quandary about
this for the past 12 years.
