If you are looling for an extra fine thread try unraviling an old pair of
nylon stockings or panty hose. I have used this method to provide myself
with an endless supply of extra fine thread. For your personal safety be
sure there is not a lady in the panty hose before you start unraviling them.
The panty hose come in many colours so it is possible to get a wide range of
coloured thread.for your tying needs. The only down side to this type of
thread is it will fray quit easily and your hands need to be smooth to work
with it. Not an easy task for an old construction worker like myself. I
found I had to use sand paper and skin softener to get my hands smooth
enough to work with the thread.

Mel

Subject: [VFB] Small Fly Thread?
OK, one more question.
If I try to tie a size 20 hook, in a few moments I have a very bulky
fly, due to the thread being to big. What kind/ size of thread is uses on
flies 20 to 28?
