Chuck:
Look at the positive side, your flies will smell good with
that baby powder. I might be wrong, but I don't think you'll ever get all
your tips even. I know I don't. In fact I want a bit of a taper in
my deer hair wings. One suggestion, don't over load your stacker. If
I'm building a deer hair fly, like a Muddler. I want the tips to be uneven
and flare on the first piece I stack and spin. After the first bunch, I
trim the tips off before stacking and spinning. Just my preference on how
to do it.
