I was going to suggest if she doesn't like fishing that down around
Queensland there were some beautiful streams and she would have plenty to do
during the day. I'm not sure what the fishing was like on the streams. I
took the jet boats but looking back now I regret not being into fishing.
They were crystal clear and really beautiful. I bet there is some good
fishing in the area.
Some of the other places are little more remote and she may not find much to
do while you fish. Rotorua was beautiful but I'm not sure what the fishing
around there would be like. They had a lot of hot springs. Someone on
another list mentioned a lake in the area though that was really good.
There were a few tours she could go on while you fished in that area also.
Christ Church would also keep her busy while your fishing. I didn't spend
as much time there but those would be three good places to look for good
fishing in the area so she would have something to do.
If she isn't a fisher person this might help keep the peace and make both of
you happy.
Regards,
Deb

Ian and others,

It is not too long (mid-November) until we leave for NZ. My wife has agreed
that I can fish part of the vacation. I would really like to have anyones
input as to where to fish and with what. Any comments will be greatly
needed and valued.

Mike
