Hi all.  I signed on a couple of days ago and I’m officially un-lurking with this disjointed little post. :-)

Henk, do you mean Sepp’s loops?  My only concern with some loops is the smooth transference of energy.   I still usually whip a small loop.  If I could cast better, I’d use nail knots.  ;-)

Richard

PS  Henk, how did your trip end up?  I never heard from you, but I figured the weather pretty much killed any fishing and I ended up in West Virginia for Thanksgiving.

Who here uses braided loop leader connectors? I was considering putting it on my 6/7 weight but have heard it kind of kinks things during the cast? Just curious what your views are as opposed to connecting the line directly to the leader.

Just wait for when a new invention from the Netherlands hits the US shores. No more braided loops, no more nail knots and perfect loops for leader connection AND line splices even on-stream...
