Boy I'll say WOW!!!!!!... Some absolutely beautiful flys... Sure wish I could tie flys like that..
Oh, you can if you're willing to work on a single fly for weeks... If I recall, the shortest time-frame is 60 hours for one mayfly... the stonefly nymph was over 120 hours, again if my memory serves me correctly (I just got home from work at 12pm EDT sat... and started thursday at 8pm. Long day of work..... Of course, to make matters worse, it's pouring to the point where the local waters are high, muddy, and unwadeable... ah, well - it'll give me a chance to tie some more flies after a lil' nap.
Speaking of which (tying the flies, not the nap), any suggestions for BWO or Hendrickson hatches? Both started a day or two ago on the East Branch of the Perkiomen River, less than 1 mile from the doorstep, but I'm not sure what will happen with all of this rain and such... in any event, any "tried and true" patterns for the two hatches that you favor over others?
Thanks in advance, and tight wraps/ lines to all,
Pete
