This is a punch in the emotional gut. Murph was such a fun and helpful internet friend. He will be missed very much. My sympathy to his family and to Byard and others who knew him better than me.

Murf was one of the kindest most generous persons I've ever had the
pleasure of knowing. I first met Dave at the Fly Tying Symposium
about 10 years ago. We fished, tied flies and caroused ever since.
