I know I have not been a poster on here for quite a while, but I still read 
and enjoy most topics.  Dave was always around for helpful advice and 
friendly tips.  Talking with him via email really got me passionate about 
tying flies.  The loss of Dave will not only be a loss to the community of 
VFB, as well as everyone who knew him, but a loss to flyfishers.  Dave had a 
bank of knowledge and would share it at the drop of a hat.  I never met with 
Dave personally, although I had been invited to his house and to his camp a 
few times.  He has helped me alot over the years and I will severely miss 
reading his posts on here.  My prayers are with his family.
