I've been sitting here at a loss for words. I spent the entire day out
yesterday instructing kids at our Addieville kids day so I didn't get the
message until late last night. I'm glad I didn't.... I can at least
reflect on a beautiful day when I think of Murfs passing. It was just the
kind of day he would've loved.
The one thing I most admired and remember about Murf was the devotion he
showed to Lena and the kids. It was such a breath of fresh air to read his
posts about Lena. The way he spoke of her always reflected how crazy in
love he was with her!!! He learned young in life to really appreciate his
family, his friends and Gods gifts. For that his life was full and he knew
it!!! My heart really breaks for Lena and his family.
Murf's posts were sometimes funny, sometimes windy but he was always very
generous about sharing information. He spent hours on the phone with Steve
and I helping us with Steve's job search and checking his resume with him.
He was very encouraging and full of ideas! His face looks so familiar from
all the pictures I've seen but I don't remember ever meeting him in person.
I may have at Somerset but most likely it's from all the pictures I've seen
of him over the years. We always think we have time to meet our friends and
we'll get to it soon. This is a sad reminder to grab the time we can with
our close friends and make the time to meet with the friends we make on the
VFB that have made a difference in our lives. I have the hardest time
removing people from my "contacts" even knowing that they don't have email
in Heaven. Knowing Murf.... if at all possible he's fishing today but
probably also missing his email.
Regards,
Deb

Wow ;-(
I was sitting here with my daughter on my lap on this Easter morning and
almost tossed her on the floor from shock. Lost for words, and full of
thoughts and memories flooding in from my contact, in person and in writing,
with Murf.
Be at peace, my friend.
Hans
