I attach about 24" to 36" of tippet to my 7' furled leader. If I was a dry fly fisher I guess I would attach a longer tippet. I have fished with about 12" of leader when using popping bugs. The leaders I have are made for 4 to 6 wt. lines. I had a special one made for my 1 wt. bamboo rod. I have fished this several times. Turns over like a dream I had better get off of this and get back to the article I need to finish. Tony
