I didn't answer your question, Tom. Maybe this is just my bad luck hitting me once again. A nightmare order wouldn't be the first time... the Mongoose order (when he repeatedly sent me doubles and took to much money for the stuff), took from November to May to finally get over with. And that was one of Sweden's biggest retailers. It might just have been the fact that it was me......
 
I also have a story about a good costumer service. I have a subscription on the Scottish (I believe) magazine Fly-Fishing And Fly-Tying. Now they have started with a fly-tying bag as subscribtion gift and right before I was going to Sowbug, I mailed them asking if I could buy one. The answer I got was no, since they weren't for sale... but I could have one for free if I wished.
These guys also replies within hours and have had no problem with replacing lost magazines.

That answered my questtion as to whether to subscribe or not....I guess i'll just keep hitting the book store!
 
I sub to FlyFisherman and when my May issue showed up from the P.O. with just the cover, i emailed them looking for a replacement issue and even told them i'd pay extra for it.  They replied within a few hours that the particular issue was out of print but they extended my sub for another month..
