The Chili Pepper can sense your hate. Your friends fished it with
confidence. You must get back in touch with the Zen of Chili,
Grasshopper. Only then will the orange fly reveal its glories.

If you remember back a couple of months. I tied up some Orange
Chilli Peppers. Well I like Orange flies for winter (yes it is
winter here in the Southern Hemisphere).
Well I tied a bunch, and on Saturday I went fishing we 3 fellow fly
fishers. I gave each of the guys a few flies, including the Orange
Chilli Pepper.
It was pretty cold at the Lake, and very wet; it rained all day.
Water temp was 5 Degreees Celsius, but the water felt warmer than
the air.
Fairly new to fly fishing the lakes, one of the guys listened
eagerly to my story about the success of Orange flies, and tied it
straight on is leader. It turned out to be a good choice; he had 3
Red Fin (English Perch) in about 10 casts.
We all persisted with our flies for about an hour while he
continued to catch while we didnt. Pretty soon everyone had the
Orange Chilli Pepper tied on and we were all fishing with confidence.
BY the end of the day, 5 browns and countless Perch had been
landed. BUT unfortunately I hooked NOTHING.. this is why I hate
Chilli Peppers...
