personal favourite is Silver Butcher tied as a streamer ... also works for
sea run brownies.
Hook . 8 to 12 long shank streamer hook
Thread . black
Tail . strip of red dyed goose or bunch or red hackle fibers
Body . flat silver
Rib . Oval silver
Hackle . Black hen as a collar or as a beard
Wing . pair of black cock hackles tied back to back reaching just short of
tip of tail

does anyone out there have any good streamer patterns that are extremely
effective in still water (ie/ Lake or Pond)? besides, the usual wooly
buggers, strip leeches, and egg sucking leeches.
