Ya Know Chuck,
In a case like that you could always use my "Go To" flies. The fastest
is the Grenade Fly, then there's the Mine Fly, don't forget the Dynamite
Fly, and if it is a slow day you can use the "Electro Bell Ringer Fly.
Of course most of these have been looked down upon by "Purist", mainly
because they show them all up so bad. (Note, some G&F and Homeland Security
folks who cant even catch a fish with "WORMS" look down on them as well).

Just a thought,

Folks: it was 80 degrees (new record for this date here) and Sunny today,
so i went fishing.. Yep "FISHING" not "catching" cause i didn't even get a
bite LOL... Jimmy D.. I tried the NW side like you said, and I found the
original creek bed, and there they were, schooled up.. But they would not
bite for nothing..I tried wet flies, dry flies, and damp flies LOL... I
then put on a curly grub tailed jig and trolled it through those fish..
NOTHING.. I also talked to about four boatloads of other (bass fishermen)
ppl fishing, and nobody had caught anything...I don't know what the problem
is. The surface water temp is 52-54 degrees, and i guess it got cold too
quick the other week and still has the fish's metabolism's still slowed
down to much to be hungry.... Chuck
