BTW.. My Great Grand Daddy, Grand daddy, Daddy all told me that the best
fishing is three days before and three days after a full moon... And, I have
found it (usually) to be pretty true for me.. What do ya'll say??? Chuck

Chuck. Try this. Keep an eye on the weather and when the next advertised
front comes thru, try fishing ahead of the front. The fish have a tendency to
feed voraciously before a front, be it a cold front or a warm front. The day
that the front passes won't be worth a tinker's damn, and neither will the next
two or three days. Things need to settle down and get more normal before the
fish will pay much attention to food again.

Don: Yeah, that is exactly what these seem to have done... It is supposed
to remain warm for a few days, so tomorrow, I'll try it again and see if they
are well enough to eat LOL...Now that you said that.. I have goldfish in a
little backyard pond that are about 8 inches long, and when it turns cold real
quick (or hot) they too, won't eat until it stabilizes.. Thanks, Chuck

Chuck,
Quick water temperature changes can literally make fish sick. I used to
have a 155 gal aquarium with 3 10-pound pacu's in it. I didn't mean to, they
just grew that big from little guys. One winter night the heater went out and
the aquaruim, which was downstairs, chilled off very rapidly overnight. I
bought a new heater the next day, and warmed the tank back up, but the fish
seemed like they weren't feeling good and didn't eat for another 3 days. They
finally pulled out of it and ate like pigs for a week.
So now you have something to look forward to- a feeding frenzy.

Folks: it was 80 degrees (new record for this date here) and Sunny
today, so i went fishing.. Yep "FISHING" not "catching" cause i didn't even get
a bite LOL... Jimmy D.. I tried the NW side like you said, and I found the
original creek bed, and there they were, schooled up.. But they would not bite
for nothing..I tried wet flies, dry flies, and damp flies LOL... I then put on
a curly grub tailed jig and trolled it through those fish.. NOTHING.. I also
talked to about four boatloads of other (bass fishermen) ppl fishing, and
nobody had caught anything...I don't know what the problem is. The surface
water temp is 52-54 degrees, and i guess it got cold too quick the other week
and still has the fish's metabolism's still slowed down to much to be
hungry.... Chuck
