Tony: It is a two piece, but you must be right about the weight. I don't know where I got the idea that it was a 5 wt rod LOL... It is just tooo heavy to be anything less than an 8 or 9.. I'm gonna re order some 9wt weight forward (I watched a video on casting I rented online a cpl weeks ago, and thing it would be better for me that the double taper for some reason) line and then take it out with some of these heavy flies... Thanks a million.. This gives me a new line to use on my true 5wt as I have only used this spool of line a cpl times that is on there now, and mine now has a few burrs on the line from soo much use... Chuck

Chuck,
That rod would be for a 8 wt DT or a 9 wt WF line
The 390 makes me think it is a 3 piece 9' rod. I might
be wrong on that.

the old white ones with
my Zebco 202 on them as a kid LOL...They were stiff
as a broomstick like you
say.. I'm thinking this rod is an 8-9 weight now
that I went and copied down
the writing on it. I was thinking it was a 6wt, but
it is about 1/2 thick at
the handle(or more) It says "Fishmaster by Hicks"
Model #HK390 then it has
AFTMA8-9.. I bought it at a flea market a long time
ago... Chuck
