The size I tie and use the most (and therefore have the best results with) is 14, size 12 would be next. But I tie them and use sizes 10-18.
The pattern I follow is the one in Dave Hughes' book "Essential Trout Flies." But then, for some reason (senior moments) I forget to tie in the gold ribbing on about half of them. Those seem to work just as well. (Which is further proof of what's said in the quote, I suppose.) :-) Jim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Desert Eagle Sent: Saturday, December 30, 2006 8:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [VFB] QUOTE FOR THE DAY What sizes seam to be your most productive per season? Also, which recipe do you use to tie it. Reason I ask is so far I have found about 20, each slightly different. Jimi
