Folks: I had a fly rod as a teen, and fly fished a little with my Uncle, but
the last two season have been what I call my "first and second real seasons"
And, I concentrated on flies for bluegills, cause I like to catch a lot of
fish... But, now I want to catch some big fish as well, so I am trying some of
the bass flies..Now, the last two years, i caught an occasional largemouth on
my bluegill flies... But, can you tie flies that will catch both equally (or
nearly equally) as well??? Or, , for example.. i tied most of my flies on size
10-16 hooks.. And, the bass flies are tied mostly on size 6 and bigger... So,
could I tie a bass bug, or clouser minnow , etc ect, in a size that is in
between the 6 and the 10 and catch both???? I guess you could say I want to
"have my cake and eat it too" LOL..Oh, and if so, which are some good
patterns??? Thanks, Chuck
