it was in a miami canal loaded with peacock bass, oscars, mayan cichlids, & jaguar gapotes. bounced the clouser near a submerged pallet (oh the joy & beauty of urban angling) and BAM! that little guy (okay, not so little) nailed it. Big 'ol bluegill with a nice, shiny copper head. I felt bad, it was probably the last surviving native fish in that canal! I got him back in asap so hopefully he's still there holding down the fort. Aside from the segue I've caught both panfish & bass on size 6 & 4 glades minnows. On 1/16/07, Kevin W. Even on saltwater I've caught stripers, blues and weakfish on wooley buggers tied on a 3/0, 2/0. and brown trout on clouser minnows tied down to a # 10. My colors I use on clousers that small are combinations of white and chartruse, brown and white, olive and white, and some of them with a splash of pearl krystal flash in the middle. I did tie a fire tiger small clouser then put stripes on it with a marker for a small perch look but haven't gotten it wet yet.
