Hi Charlie   For the first meeting just show the scouts some  of the 
different flies that you have or tie,and tell them what they represent.  Show 
the 
scouts a fly rod and explain the main differences compared to a  spinning or 
casting rod, and show how to cast a line without any sinkers or  heavy spoon on 
the 
end. A bare line or small bit of yarn on the end will do, not  even a hook. 
(no accidents ). Be open to questions. Keep it simple and make it  fun.
