Evening Chuck my friend,
I have had this happen before, many times. When I get the chance to
take Theresa and Amanda to the "Indian Big Springs", on private land, I am
lucky if I get a couple of flies in the water.
Amanda is very much the fly fisher-person and will do her own catch and
release 40 to almost 100 an hour there working the stream.
Theresa on the other hand, can tie and cast as a pro, but when it comes to
handling the fish and releasing them, she is still very much the "Lady". I
often have giggling and laughing spells that are almost catatonic with her,
but the joy and excitement are priceless.
Bless her heart, she has tried persistently to handle, unhook and release
the fish she catches, but the "squills" and excitement are to much to bare.
I find myself just laying down the rod and coaching/ guiding her through
all the numerous panfish she may catch.
Personally, I find it far more enjoyable to handle and release her fish all
day, rather than fish myself.
Just my 2 cents worth.
