But they are not native to the Gulf of Mexico right . Chuck, it depends on where in the Gulf of Mexico. I know they are present as far north as Homosassa during the summer months. (about an 1 ½ drive north of Tampa) I think that is about the extent of their range . I don't think you would have found them near "the Redneck Riviera". Wow.
