Ahh the default feedlist, now theres a real issue for videobloggers
that connects to the issues we've been discussing today.

Again even though there are legitimate and perfectly innocent
explanations for why ant ships with the list of feeds that it does,
its a great example of an issue where control counts.

Unfortunately Ive lost track of different ant versions, and what the
default feedlist policy is now, whether it works differently, what
decisions were made about directory stuff etc.

I remember at least one person in this group was slightly exasperated
that they couldnt easily and quickly get added to the default feeds
list that ships with ant.

Its a non-intentional injustice that almost makes an old-guard out of
the original videobloggers for anybody starting their videoblogging
experience using ANT. For all its flaws the itunes podcast directory
is fairer. Its as a result of apple having god knows how many
developers and resources, sure, but the whys and hows dont change the
affect it has.

Would this issue have been addressed long ago if it were either
opensource or derivatives/rebrands of some kind were allowed? I cant
be certain, but the odds would be greater as I presume there are
people out there whod love to be in the default feeds list.
