Sorry to people for talking too much, I get carried away sometimes. If I knew how to abbreviate more, I would, it takes me a long time to write this stuff too lol. Glad to hear directory developments are in progress. I'll make a donation, but first I will have to recover from your suggestion that my stuff is just easy complaining and being negative. I spent 3 or 4 hours on this stuff yesterday, and the aim wasnt to bury ant. On the onehand its easy to complain, on the otherhand I risk annoying people and harming my own reputation here by asking them, so it aint so easy. Why did I bring this issue up now? I guess to me, issues dont have a time limit, and it doesnt matter if we discusssed them before. And my original ranting was not about fireant specifically, I was just giving it as an example. It will be exactly the same with any other issue, if the scene changes and assumptions about values that people made 6 months ago change, for example in relationship to sponsorship, then I'll want to discuss it. All the detail that we got into about licenses was supposed to help prevent the need for lawyers, by us figuring it out between ourselves. If I bring up a complication that creates more work for you, that wasnt the aim, it was supposed to save you hassle in future, but I probably went wrong. As for the label opensource becoming more broad, I simply wasnt aware that its popular use had already become so wide. I dont believe in trying to put the lid back on definitions once theyve escaped and grown, eg I dont fully subscribe to the most limited definitions of what a videoblog is. At a maximum personally I could tollerate the term opensource being used if there were other kinds of sources involved, eg journalistic sources, but if its used in a project where there is no kind of source thats open, I just dont understand the use of the term. Anywy I used at least a weeks worth of waffle in one evening, so I'm going to shutup now and go do some video. I love you videoblogging group, for not burning me at the stake.
