Try it and see which you prefer. Its not a massive deformation of aspect ratio, if you put a 320x240 clip side by side wih a 320x213 one, you should just about be able to see a difference, but I dont personally think its enough to matter. Keen to see what other people think.
This advice wont apply if people are using other pcature devices that may for example record straight toa 23x0240 res. And if people do decide to offer advise where aspect ratio is fully maintained, you will have to give different advice for PAL and NTSC issues, no pretending the rest of the world doesnt exist ;) Verdi have you tried TV out yet? Id be interested to know if what you think of 15fps versus full framerate. Thats the other main difference between the quicktime ipod export option, and the various videoblog encoding guides, apple ipod export doesnt reduce framerate.
