Most can not be broadcast on community TV because they
continually use copyrighted content (music) in their productions.
That is bad teaching, not a bad law
I don't know about that. Have you ever taught a video class? Teaching the medium to either filmmakers or musicians becomes prohibitive without mixing up existing materials.
I suffer the same problems as Adrian (plus I teach video classes regularly)...
-but in terms of working creatively I've never found it prohibitive, ... sampling of other material is one method, but not using it doesn't = prohibition of creative ideas.
On my vlog i've still managed to never use copyrighted music, never used copyrighted images ( and aside from Creative Commons material in my revlog), never used video material that i didn't record.
