Hi Jeff,

Many folks have pop-ups disabled on their browsers, therefore I prefer embedded. Also, I think that embedded videos look more professional and do a better job of maintaining 'brand awareness'.

Subject: [videoblogging] Embed vs. Pop-Up

Forgive my ignorance, as I'm sure many of you understand this better than I.

Verdi mentioned today his dislike of embedded quicktime movies, and the issue of scrolling. Is the issue simply that viewing videos via a pop-up is optimal to the embedded approach, so that you can move the pop-up window around on the desktop to where you like?  I hope this doesn't sound like too stupid of a question, but I want to make sure that I'm not missing something here.

I have switched over from Josh's pop-up solution (embedthevideo.com), to Enric's vPIP.  I can scroll OK, in Firefox and IE, while a vid is playing - although that isn't something I personally do that much.

I would like to do what works best for my viewers (all 10 of them :)), and would like  to hear more opinions on what the group thinks is the optimal approach.

Also, I would like to thank this discussion group for the fantastic support and guidance provided. I really enjoy monitoring the discussions, and appreciate the community spirit.
