Interesting! They must have switched from AVI now that they do HD. Thanks for the comparison vids. Not much in it, except - as you say - the wider angle and the slightly better sound in the Canon. When you're closer to the camera in a quiet interior, I'd imagine the difference in the Canon sound would be even greater in comparison to the Flip. I'd say you need to be quite a lot closer to the camera to get clear sound - and the wider angle will help with that.
Vegas and .mov should be easy, though - not much adjustment required, I wouldn't think.
