Because there are few programs, the exhibits are the big draw when
attendees are not in business meetings. And many sections are meeting
virtually for Midwinter so it is possible that those of us going will
have even more time to visit the exhibits.

Subject: [Videolib] ALA-midwinter

Hi All,
Landmark Media is thinking of attending mid winter ALA in January (who
wouldn't want to get out of Chicago in January?). Would love to know
from all of you who usually attends in the way of media exhibitors and
buyers. We know it is not as heavily attended as mid summer but can you
give some good reason to be there? Would appreciate any info you care
to share.
Thanks
Bev

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
