Uh, I was planning to attend it in San Diego. Since when was it moved to
Chicago or have I completely misunderstood this threat? It's been that
kind of day---off to a late start and then victimized by the health
insurance industry once again. Don't get me started!

I didn't realize it was in Chicago. Well, my question then is, why
shouldn't I be there? The ALA is only 3 blocks away from my office.
Maybe I'll see some Video libbers there! Would love to see some other
media libarians.

Subject: [Videolib] ALA-midwinter

Hi All,
Landmark Media is thinking of attending mid winter ALA in January (who
wouldn't want to get out of Chicago in January?). Would love to know
from all of you who usually attends in the way of media exhibitors and
buyers. We know it is not as heavily attended as mid summer but can you
give some good reason to be there? Would appreciate any info you care
to share.
Thanks
Bev

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
