Hello all, I've been asked to indicate in the bibliographic record that a movie was filmed locally. Besides putting it in a note field, is there an established subject heading (examples?) that would indicate local filming locations? Often, Humboldt County is standing in for another place entirely, and we don't want to mislead patrons into thinking the movie is ABOUT Humboldt County, just that it was filmed here. What's a guy to do?
Michael Michael Logan Acquisitions and Technical Services Humboldt County Library (707) 269-1962 VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
