When the tab is switched, the context usually changes. So the command output is 
likely no longer relevant (or that's my personal feeling - I know too little 
about vim to have a strong opinion on this).

Is there a way to force clearing the output programmatically in vimrc? If so, 
that would probably be enough for me.
