Hi everyone, Anyone here using Ubuntu Intrepid and want to update to Vim 7.2 without recompiling?
I have the Debian packages (backported from Debian Sid) in my Personal Package Archive at launchpad.net: https://launchpad.net/~indigojo/+archive/ppa You need to put this line in your /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/indigojo/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main You may need to confirm whether you want to install them as they are signed with a GPG key which your system does not trust. The packages will still work, however, but you can get rid of the warnings by following the instructions here: https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA (see the section marked "Adding a PPA to your Ubuntu repositories) Once you have activated the archive (sudo aptitude update), you can just upgrade your system (sudo aptitude safe-upgrade) and the new packages will be installed.
