The 63x and 64x family cannot use the Apple IIE card. It's not really
an emulator as there is actual Apple IIe hardware on the card
interfaced to the host machine.

Anyway, only 68K Macs with an LC style slot which are capable of
running in 24 bit addressing mode can use the AIIE card. The 63x/64x
fail because they will only operate in 32 bit addressing mode, not in
24 bit addressing mode.

Probably the most advanced machine which can host the AIIE card is the
Q605/LC/P475/476.

The Q605 (and cousins) can take a 128 MB SIMM in its single slot for
132 MB of RAM. Actually, with a SIMM doubler it will address two 128
MB SIMMs for 260 MB of RAM, but then you can't get the lid closed.

There's a pretty good website about the Apple IIE card out there
somewhere. I think it is authored by a LEMList member. But I don't
remember the author's name/handle and I don't have the link handy. I
expect a bit of searching would turn it up though.
