I don't know.  I've never tried it.

Also, I don't know.   I bought mine over a decade ago.  I have not
shopped for any since.  Also, the logic used on doublers may vary, so
there is little certainty that what works with one doubler will work
with a different model doubler.  It *should* but it isn't certain.

For example, some 128 MB SIMMs do not work in the PM6100 only because
of how the four RAS and CAS lines are paired on the SIMM.  If the
board designer had chosen a different pairing, then they would
work.    Use of SIMM doublers may have similar idiosyncrasies.
