Great fun. :) Ah, okay, now I get it. It's the newer, optical model that features a glow-in-the-dark trackball: http://www.uk-surplus.com/images/uploads/orbit03.jpg Versus the older, electromechanical one from the ADB era that the OP posted about: http://www.assistiveit.co.uk/images/kensington%20orbit.jpg The latter was the one I was familiar with. IIRC, I acquired one a while back and played with it for a bit, but liked the pointing device I was using at the time better. It's too bad Kensington couldn't have introduced the glowing trackball feature earlier, as it might have helped to keep that particular trackball on my desk and out of the spares bin. I mean, everyone likes stuff that lights up! :) Even though it didn't happen to suit my own needs at the time, the Orbit was still a very good design compared to many of the mice/trackballs on offer back then. I'm glad to see that the same basic form factor has survived to the present. If *only* Logitech had retained the form factor of their original Marble. They were onto a real winner there, then they went and *changed the design* for reasons that remain entirely unclear to me.
