Ah, you mean one of these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41FTH6V4PVL._SL500_AA280_.jpg >I don't like the thumb-operated type at all because it makes >my thumb joint ache. Well, mousing around with your thumb definitely takes some getting used to. I think perhaps some people might find it a more natural and comfortable way of pointing than others. [shrugs] Of course, since everyone's hand is at least slightly different, everyone seems to have their own favorite peripheral and their own reason why they prefer it over other makes and models. :) I must confess that I'm mildly envious of you, seeing as how the finger-operated trackball models are much easier to track down than the thumb-operated ones. The design you like happens to be one that Logitech likes, too, and as near as I can tell, there are versions of this that will run on modern machines and operating systems right out of the box. I believe Apple dropped external ADB support with OS 10.5, (Leopard) so I'm not sure what those of use still hopelessly addicted to ADB peripherals will do when we're (eventually) forced to upgrade.
