If you haven't already bought a Classic, you may want to ask folks on the list how they handle the first three tasks you mentioned. That way, you can make sure that attempting these things on a Classic isn't purely an exercise in indulging your masochistic tendencies. ¬ _¬ Just so you know: I do own a Classic myself, but I can't say I've ever been motivated to get it online. Probably because the "blazing fast" 500MHz machine I normally jump online with seems to have enough problems grappling with (fairly) basic tasks*. YMMV.
