Nope. If your computer work is text-focused, you need surprisingly little power. I wouldn't say *no* good reason. Images and audio are very useful; a picture really can be worth a thousand words. But there's definitely a point of diminishing returns. Current computers are in fact overpowered for the majority of users today.
