You could always look into the SD2SCSI kits that are out now. For just over $50 you can use any SD card (or MicroSD card) that you have on hand and there's a few common mods for them (about $8 more) that allow you to have access to the SD card slot from the exterior of the Mac which makes moving files around a whole lot easier.
