I might add, that the 9VDC probably shouldn't be exceeded. If it can be
exceeded, it's beccause it has a voltage regulator inside of the modem.
However, the 900 ma, (or .9 amp) can be exceeded. It might work ok, and
won't hurt it if doesn't. However, you might see errors or other problems
that might make you think that the modem is defective, if you use a power
supply that is under-rated in amperage or voltage. I would also be
exceedingly careful about polarity. If you plug it in backwards, you will
most likely be throwing it in the trash, unless it has a blocking diode
internal for reverse polarity.
