Bill, I'm a HUGE experimenter. I use a Motorola 9v DC adapter
with my practical peripherals, and my US Robotics. And I've had them
work or not. Never fire and rain. They either do, or don't work.
I've fried some circuit boards with my shenanigans, popped a few
monitors open with a brusque hand, but not had a problem with the
power supplies.
Doesn't mean you won't.
