Maybe if you can "find" A/UX and get a DayStar 030
PowerCache with FPU, preferrably the 50Mhz one and
an LC adaptor for the DayStar, you might be able to
rin A/UX. But by the time you do all that you'd be
far better off getting a IIci and the DayStar to
run A/UX on. From what I've read, other *nix systems
are "iffy" with CPU upgrades, but they'll usually
run newer apps that A/UX can't. The only reason
I can think of for running Linux on an LC, using
any means possible, is you like self torture. :)

IMHO the LC was essential to Apple's survival when
it first was released. Sold like hotcakes but like
a super cheap car you quite quickly find out what
it _can't_ do. Unfortunately Apple took the success
of the LC as a good reason to continue making
deliberately hobbled Macs instead of taking the
LC money and pumping it into even better "non Road
Apple" Macs.
