Most programs were written for a 640x480 minimum res, so expect graphics
to overflow the screen, as they are not scaled down to 512, but for WP
chores and many specialiazed uses a 12 incher is fine and looks "right"
when sitting on the pizzabox cpu.
I've tried 7.6.1 in LCIII's, and it's not nearly as fast as an "enhanced"
7.1.
One way to make 7.6.1 much slimmer is to strip all the PPC code out of it
using "PowerPCheck 3.2 FAT." Adding 16MB of RAM and 512KB VRAM helps a
lot too.
For desktop pictures, you can use any PICT file as along as it's named
StartupScreen and placed in the System folder.
